Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Scrapp De Leon is no longer in trouble with the law, but his brother now is. According to reports, he was arrested on the charge of sex trafficking.

Lyndon “Sas” Smith, 26, who has appeared on Mona Scott-Young’s famed reality series in a supporting role, is in a lot of trouble. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Smith and his accomplice, James Ruffin, 27, planned on traveling out of Georgia to pimp two teenage girls according to authorities.

Smith, who is a rapper and member of the hip-hop group Da Razkalz CrU along with  Ruffin, is currently being held in  DeKalb County Jail. They have both been slapped with charges of criminal attempt to traffic persons for sexual servitude and unlawful effort to pimp a person less than 18 years of age.

The ages of the two teen girls have not been released.

“Sas” is the brother of now Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta regular Scrapp DeLeon and the son of Karen King, who is also featured on the show. Scrapp recently got promoted to series regular this past season after he was released from prison. King also has had multiple run-ins with the law. She has a long rap sheet with court docs from 1980-2005. They detail she was convicted of grand theft, using counterfeit money, trafficking counterfeit goods, armed robber, and burglary in multiple states.

“Sas” escaped serious injury after being shot in the back of the head back in July 2016. We won’t be shocked if here more about his situation when Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta returns.

Nike Apologizes To Black Family Who Say They Were Racially Profiled & Accused Of Stealing

Source: TaMiya Dickerson / facebook

A Black family says they were racially profiled and accused of stealing from a Nike store in Santa Monica, Calif. despite having proof of purchase. A white store manager flagged down cops to confront Joel Stallworth and TaMiya Dickerson and their 18-month-old son over a $ 12 basketball.

NBC News reports:

The incident happened on July 5 as Joel Stallworth and TaMiya Dickerson were at the Santa Monica Place shopping mall with their 18-month-old son, Sammy, according to a press release from the family’s lawyer and a video of the incident that Dickerson posted on Facebook.

The couple said they were not planning on buying anything but changed their mind and purchased a Nike Swoosh Mini basketball after their son picked it up and started to carry it around.

Stallworth and Dickerson said that as they were leaving the manager of the store followed them outside, accused them of stealing the basketball and demanded they give it back. Stallworth explained that they bought the ball for their son and continued to walk down the street with his family.

The manager continued to follow them and flagged down Santa Monica police officers for help.

Video of the incident on Dickerson’s Facebook page shows the parents explaining to the manager and at least three Santa Monica police officers that they bought the basketball and have the receipt.

The family took the ball back to get a refund and eventually retained the services of an attorney. Nike has issued an apology to the family and says it will look into the matter.

Woman Explains Why She Falsely Accused Her Dad Of Sexual Assault As A Child

“When I was a teenager, I ran away from home a lot,” says Amber, who had a tumultuous relationship with her mom growing up. “One time, my mom had called my friends trying to find me and threatened them with charges if they didn’t turn me in. I didn’t want to go home, so I made up accusations against my dad. I told the sheriffs that he was sexually assaulting me and that he was hitting me with a pistol … I knew if I said something, they’d start an investigation.” Ultimately Amber called the police and admitted the story was fabricated.

Looking back, Amber, now 24, says, “I hate that I did that to my dad. I don’t know how else to explain this. It was just something horrible. There’s no amount of times I can say sorry enough.”

Watch the video above as Amber’s father recalls this difficult chapter. And, Dr. Phil offers advice for how this family can move forward peacefully. Watch more here.

NYPD Officer Under Investigation, Accused Of Calling Woman A ‘F**king Dyke’ Before Assaulting Her

An NYPD officer is under investigation for a possible hate crime after a Brooklyn woman accused him of assaulting her and calling her homophobic slurs, a spokeswoman for the Brooklyn district attorney’s office told The Huffington Post Thursday.

Stephanie Dorceant, 29, was arrested in the early morning hours of July 11 in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn after allegedly assaulting NYPD Officer Salvator Aquino. She’s facing felony charges of assault as well as charges for menacing, resisting arrest and harassment.

But according to Dorceant, it was Aquino who attacked her. Through her attorneys, she supplied the following statement Thursday:

On July 11th I was in Brooklyn, where I live and work, heading from a concert with my girlfriend when, out of nowhere a large man bumped me from behind. I asked him if he was ok. He then barked at me, and I will quote: “mind your own business you fucking dyke.”

Hen then attacked me, punched me in the face a number of times, choked me and called me several more anti-gay slurs. When he had his hands around my neck I truly thought I was going to die. I could not breathe. The only way I could get him to stop attacking me and my girlfriend was to bite him.

When other police officers showed up I thought we were saved. That was not the case. It turned out that this man was an off-duty police officer. Instead of helping me and my girlfriend and arresting our attacker, more officers piled on top of me, slamming me onto the pavement and putting their knees on my neck, shoulders, and back. They then put us both into handcuffs and threw us into a holding cell in the precinct. After being processed at the precinct I was taken to the hospital, and then to central bookings.

At my arraignment, they said that I had assaulted the cop and that I had used racial slurs. Even though I have no record, and their story was a complete lie, bail was set and I ended up at Riker’s Island.

My attacker has still not been charged or arrested.

Even though I am well aware of the many stories about police brutality, especially against blacks, Hispanics, and the LGBT community, I never really thought that this could happen to me. I want to share my story and say that police brutality is a real thing. Hate crimes are a real thing. Both of these things happened to me. Enough is enough.

The criminal complaint against Dorceant — which is embedded below — alleges that Aquino saw Dorceant and her girlfriend, Nandi Allman, “arguing” as he was walking to his personal car that had “a police parking plaque displayed on the dashboard and in area marked for police vehicles only.” When Dorceant and Aquino bumped into each other, the complaint alleges, Dorceant attacked Aquino and “punched him in the face.” When he tried to arrest Dorceant she resisted and “proceeded to bite [Aquino] repeatedly about the arms, chest, finger, and torso, breaking [Aquino’s] skin.”

At a press conference Thursday, Dorceant said the criminal complaint was nothing but lies as she held Allman’s hand and occasionally choked back tears. The couple weren’t arguing on Saturday, she said, but were “talking and laughing” coming back from a performance at the AfroPunk Battle of the Bands in Brooklyn.

When Allman saw Aquino throw her girlfriend’s head to the ground she thought Dorceant was “going to die,” Allman said.

Both women are small and would have posed no threat to the officer, said Dorceant’s lawyer, Benjamin Zeman.

What’s more, during the altercation with Aquino, “not at one point did he mention he was a cop,” Dorceant said. “I didn’t see a badge, gun, anything,” she said.

(Dorceant’s lawyers said the Brooklyn district attorney’s office has since confirmed that Aquino was off duty at the time of the incident.)

Aquino identified himself as a police officer just before a group of uniformed officers arrived on the scene, Dorceant said. He then handcuffed her and her girlfriend. Dorceant was taken to the 63rd precinct and then to the hospital. Doctors told her she had muscle bruising, cuts, scrapes, head trauma and an eye injury, which Dorceant said she received from being thrown to the ground. She was then taken to Brooklyn Central Booking.

During the arraignment in court Saturday, according to Dorceant, prosecutors read aloud a statement from Aquino saying he was concerned he “might have HIV” from her bites. (She has since taken an HIV test; the results were negative, she said Thursday.)

After the arraignment, Dorceant spent an entire day in jail on Rikers Island before Allman was able to pay the $ 1,000 bail. She was released on Monday, having been detained for over two days.

“They never gave me my phone call that I was promised,” Dorceant said. “I didn’t know what time it was. I barely knew what day it was. I was stuck into a room with 50 other girls. It was honestly like living in a concentration camp. I would never wish that on my worst enemy.”

The whole ordeal was “like a nightmare,” she said.

The NYPD’s internal affairs department said it has launched an investigation into the incident to determine if any disciplinary action is warranted.

The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association — the union that represents New York City’s police officers — didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

On Thursday a judge ruled that prosecutors have until January to convene a grand jury and indict Dorceant. If they don’t, the charges against her will be dismissed.

Benjamin Moore, another attorney for Dorceant, said he is “confident” the charges against her will be dropped before then.

Dorceant and Allman believe Aquino should “absolutely” be charged with a hate crime. They plan to bring civil charges somewhere down the line, they said.

Separately, the civil rights bureau of the Brooklyn district attorney’s office is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime and interviewed Dorceant on Saturday, a spokeswoman said.

In the meantime, a friend of the couple’s has started a crowdfunding page to pay for Dorceant’s legal fees. As of Thursday evening, the campaign has raised more than $ 1,700 towards the $ 8,000 goal.

‘Saturday Night Live’ Accused Of Plagiarizing ‘Picture Perfect’ Sketch

Once again “Saturday Night Live” has landed in an awkward spot. The show was accused of plagiarizing a popular sketch, “Picture Perfect,” that appeared in the Reese Witherspoon-hosted episode last weekend. The sketch featured a “Win, Lose Or Draw” parody that asked participants to draw the Prophet Mohammed and somewhat referred to Charlie Hebdo. It was widely praised when it aired.

But some viewers noted that it seemed similar to one that appeared on Canadian show “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” in January, featuring nearly identical plot points and jokes. One of the show’s writers Bobby Kerr tweeted about the resemblance:

Here’s the “SNL” version:

And the original “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” sketch:

NBC had no comment on the allegations of plagiarism.

Was This Grandpa Falsely Accused Of Molesting His Grandson?

About two years ago, a policeman knocked on Betty’s door, she says, alleging that her husband of 23 years, Bill, had inappropriately touched their 5-year-old grandson.

“Bill was arrested on the spot and taken to jail,” she recalls. “Police charged Bill with child molestation, and my husband spent two weeks in jail. I went ballistic. I knew there was no way in the world Bill has ever laid a hand on our grandson. It’s all lies … It was horribly devastating.”

In the video above, Bill calls his grandson “sexy butt” several times and pinches him on the butt — a video that Betty believes is “not incriminating at all.”

“The prosecutor said they could prove that was a lustful video on Bill’s phone,” Betty says. “The prosecutor did claim that that was child abuse.”

A few weeks ago, Bill reached a plea deal, pleading no contest to two counts of felony child abuse. He is now a registered child abuser.

“My husband has been falsely accused,” Betty says through tears. “My husband has done absolutely nothing wrong, and this has completely destroyed our lives.”

On Thursday’s show, Dr. Phil sits down with Betty and the boy’s step-grandmother, who reported the alleged abuse to authorities. Was Bill falsely accused? Watch more here. And, on Friday, hear from Bill, who offers to take a polygraph test.

John Brickman Wall, Utah Doctor Accused Of Murder, Hated His Ex-wife: Friend

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A childhood friend of a Utah doctor charged with killing his ex-wife testified Wednesday that John Brickman Wall blamed the woman for ruining his life.

Klaus Fiebig said he spoke to his old friend several months before her death, and the pediatrician seemed centered around his hate for ex-wife Uta von Schwedler. “At the end he said something peculiar: ‘Would it be bad if Uta wasn’t here anymore?’ ” Fiebig said. “She didn’t plan to move away.”

Von Schwedler, a 49-year-old cancer researcher, was found dead in a bathtub full of cold water in September 2011. A medical examiner found that she drowned, but she also had a fatal dose of anti-anxiety medication in her system. He stopped short of ruling her death a homicide or a suicide.

After her death, Fiebig spoke with Wall again following a memorial service. Wall had shaved his head in mourning, but he was still fixated on how much he hated her, Fiebig said.

The day she was found, Wall came into work with a bloodied eyeball and scratches on his face, his former office manager testified Wednesday.

Wall said he’d slept outside on his porch, and his dog got spooked and stepped on him, Kathi Newman said. “I remember looking and thinking that just seemed strange to me,” she said.

Von Schwedler’s death was initially treated as a suicide, but her family and friends pushed for more investigation. Wall was arrested more than a year after her death.

Prosecutors allege the 51-year-old Wall killed his ex-wife during a bitter custody battle. Defense attorneys counter that she could have killed herself. His trial began last week and is expected to last a month.

Fiebig said Wednesday that he introduced the couple, who wed in Malibu in 1990 and moved to Salt Lake City a few years later. The relationship went downhill after the move, with fights that grew increasingly ugly on both sides.

“They didn’t stop where it hurt,” he said. Von Schwedler eventually started another relationship before their divorce, he said.

After the 2006 split, Wall became increasingly difficult at work, his former medical assistant testified Wednesday. “He just slowly became disconnected,” Christina Gardner-Smith said.

Wall was very well liked when she first started working for him, she said. She went through a divorce around the same time, and the two used to joke about hiring a hit man to take care of their respective ex-spouses.

But later, he started lashing out at her if something went wrong. Gardner-Smith stopped working for him about three years later.

“I just couldn’t do it anymore,” she said.

Teen Accused Of Being A Bully: ‘Somebody Has To Tell People They’re Ugly’

Why do bullies do what they do? Dr. Phil sits down with a group of girls — some of them who admit they’ve been bullies and others who’ve been the victim of bullying — as part of his “Dr. Phil House” show.

Nicole, 19, says people consider her a mean girl because she’s popular on social media and has no problem speaking her mind. “When people post a picture, I feel the need to let [them] know how terrible [they] look,” she says. But Nicole says she’s not a bully; she’s just being brutally honest. “I speak the truth, and if you can’t handle it, then it’s not my problem,” she says.

Dr. Phil shares with Nicole what he believes might be driving her behavior. “I have this theory that people who do what you do are playing a game, and the game is ‘Get them before they get me,’” he says in the video above, explaining that people who engage in this behavior don’t care if someone doesn’t like them because they don’t like the other person, or they reject people before people can reject them. “That way, you’re always on the attack. You tell people things that are hurtful for a reason.”

Nicole says she doesn’t have a motive. She says people hurt her sometimes, and she’s just doing it back.

“What if they weren’t going to get you at all?” Dr. Phil asks. “What if they were going to become a loyal friend and supporter that would have your back for the rest of your life, but you went zero to bitch on them like that, so you ran them off and missed a good friend?”

“I think that’s where my observing [comes in],” Nicole says. “I watch people’s actions. I watch what they say. I’ll know if I like you or not.”

Dr. Phil says that statement is telling. “I didn’t realize how scared you were,” he says, pointing out that she hides behind a confident air but is really afraid. “You don’t have the guts to see if somebody would like you. You don’t have the guts to see if somebody would accept you, and befriend you and have your back.”

“I don’t think I’m scared at all,’ she says.

On his show Wednesday, Dr. Phil explores the source of the all the girls’ pain and offers them ways to change their behavior. Click here to see where you can watch.
